FNC Water Polo is committed to protecting children, young people, and all members of our water polo community. In alignment with the integrity and safeguarding principles of Water Polo Australia and Water Polo NSW, we encourage all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families to familiarise themselves with relevant safety and integrity policies and help promote a safe sporting environment.
We are dedicated to providing children and young people with positive, inclusive, and enjoyable experiences while ensuring their protection from harm. Our goal is to maintain FNC Water Polo as a safe, fair, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Protecting Water Polo Together
Water polo should be a safe and fair place for everyone. FNC Water Polo encourages members to raise concerns about behaviour they have witnessed or experienced and to seek guidance on integrity, safeguarding, and member welfare matters.
YOUR SAFETY IS OUR FIRST CONCERN. If you are in immediate danger or at risk of harm, call your local law enforcement agency or dial Triple Zero (000).

Understanding Sport Integrity
Sport integrity can be compromised by various threats, including:
- Competition manipulation and sports gambling
- Doping and the improper use of drugs and medicines
- Discriminatory, bullying, harassment, or abusive behaviours that negatively impact participation and enjoyment of sport
- Any conduct that undermines the safety and wellbeing of participants, particularly children and young people
Integrity in sport ensures that players, coaches, officials, volunteers, supporters, and spectators can enjoy their involvement in water polo within a safe, fair, and inclusive environment.
All members and participants share a responsibility to uphold the values of sport integrity and protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone involved in FNC Water Polo.
